Women in Business: Jamie Korzan

Vice president of investor relations, Midwest, Oppidan Investment Co.

Jamie Korzan hasn’t even been at Excelsior-based Oppidan Investment Co. for a full six years, yet, but she’s become the go-to point of contact for the firm’s high-level investment partners, serving as vice president of investor relations, Midwest. When representatives of Kayne Anderson, Harrison Street, Bailard or Rockpoint need to get a hold of the Oppidan team, it’s Korzan they turn to first.

She’s also played an important role in the development and operation of Oppidan’s senior and multifamily housing communities, as well as the firm’s industrial and data center projects. Under Korzan’s leadership, Oppidan sold three senior living communities for $100 million. She also spearheaded the firm’s expansion into California. The Watermark at Napa Valley, winner of the Gold Nugget Award for Best Service-Enriched Senior Community, has Korzan’s fingerprints all over it.

In the handful of years that Korzan has been with the firm, Oppidan’s portfolio has risen to unprecedented heights. To date, the firm has completed 590 projects in 42 states and parts of Canada.
