Ryan Durand

As a Developer at Oppidan, Ryan specializes in industrial, multifamily and retail projects. He is involved in every stage of the development process – from site selection and acquisition, entitlement and site development, design, permitting, and construction. He ensures each project advances Oppidan’s mission to deliver high-quality developments that create lasting value for partners and communities alike.

Ryan began his career at Dominium, a national low-income housing tax credit developer, where he managed new investment opportunities, performed feasibility analysis, negotiated financing, and oversaw design and construction efforts. Most recently, Ryan worked with Water Street Partners, Oppidan’s strategic partner, where he assisted in capitalizing Oppidan's ground-up developments and continued to strengthen his expertise in underwriting, and due diligence . Over the course of his career, he has been directly involved in placing more than $600 million of debt and equity across a range of asset classes.

Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas. An active member of NAIOP, he remains engaged in the commercial real estate community, continually expanding his network and professional knowledge. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys anything outdoors whether it be golfing, running, or hunting.
