Oppidan Starting Development of New Mankato Senior Living Community

Broke ground today; project to be completed in early 2019

Mankato, Minn. – (January 16, 2017) – Oppidan Investment Company, a national property development firm headquartered in Excelsior, Minn., broke ground today for the development of the Mankato’s newest senior living community. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2019.

The project, located on 3.87 acres at 3125 Prairie Rose Drive, will feature a 3-story, 145,000 square foot building that includes 118 units offering seniors a choice of independent living, assisted living or memory care.

The finished senior living community will boast of a variety of amenities to help seniors feel right at home, including screened porches, underground parking and a community sun deck, fitness center, salon/spa, chapel and library. Excellent dining options include chef-prepared meals in the dining room, a pub and a separate dining room for seniors in memory care. Guest suites will be available to allow families the option to stay the night close to their loved ones. An exam room and tub room are also on-site to allow enhanced healthcare options, close to home.

The project’s general contractor is Greystone Construction and architect is Kaas Wilson Architects.

Upon completion, the senior living community will be managed by Ebenezer Management Services, the largest residential management company in the state that specializes in senior housing. This is the fifth joint project between Oppidan and Ebenezer. Other properties include White Bear Heights, Highlands of St. Paul, Shorewood Landing, and Prospect Park (expected in 2018) in Minneapolis.
