IMRIS, Deerfield Imaging Relocates Global Headquarters to Chaska Creek Industrial Park

Oppidan assisted Rockpoint in custom designing a state-of-the-art facility for leader in intraoperative MRI

Excelsior, Minn. – (October 10, 2023) – Oppidan Investment Company, a national property development firm headquartered in Excelsior, Minn., together with Rockpoint, a Boston-based real estate private equity firm, welcomed IMRIS, Deerfield Imaging, the global leader in intraoperative MRI into its Chaska Creek Industrial Park, located at 1200 Chaska Creek Way, Chaska, Minn. IMRIS has relocated its headquarters from Minnetonka, Minn. to the Chaska Creek Industrial Park, a move that supports the ongoing growth of IMRIS and the need for additional space to further the development and commercialization of its intraoperative imaging technologies.

Oppidan and Rockpoint custom designed the global headquarters, which will provide advanced research and development laboratories, engineering services, customer support, sales, marketing, and administrative functions. As part of this custom design, the two firms constructed 75,000 square feet of IMRIS’ interior tenant improvements, including:

• 15,000 square feet of research and development/laboratory space that IMRIS will use for its trademarked Surgical Theatre.
  • IMRIS designs innovative intraoperative MRI systems specifically for imaging during neurosurgical procedures. The IMRIS InVision Surgical Theatre brings the MR scanner directly to the patient during surgery providing real-time visualization to assist in

decision-making and enhance precision in treatment.

• 20,000 square feet of office space, which was enhanced with the addition of important

employee amenities including a cafeteria and fitness area with locker rooms.

• 40,000 square feet of warehouse space, which is accentuated by Chaska Creek Industrial Park’s 28’ clear height, extensive glass lines, clerestory windows, and near immediate freeway access to U.S. Hwy 212 from Engler Blvd that gives the location visibility to more than 12,000 vehicles per day.

The Chaska Creek Industrial Park, developed by Oppidan and owned by Rockpoint, is a $37.5M, office/warehouse development that includes two Class A buildings totaling 301,000 square feet. Chaska Creek I includes 168,000 square feet and Chaska Creek II is 133,000 square feet and was completed in late 2022.
