Jim is a veteran retail real estate developer with an emphasis on grocery-anchored developments. As a Developer at Oppidan, he’s developed projects for SUPERVALU, Duluth Trading Company, ABRA auto body, Sprouts, Seritage and more. Prior to working at Oppidan, he completed hundreds of real estate deals including new stores, remodels, distribution centers, fuel centers and surplus properties among others for SUPERVALU, Save-A-Lot, Albertson’s and Coborn’s. His analytic approach and pleasant personality enables him to work effectively with retail and commercial clients on development strategy, site selection, land acquisition and entitlements.
He’s a current member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Minnesota Shopping Center Association. He is also a research fellow at the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. Jim is also an author and a speaker. He resides in Chaska, MN, with his wife and seven children. He’s involved in helping raise his family and is an active volunteer at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in Excelsior, MN.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Santa Clara University and a Master of Arts degree in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
