Fleet Farm moves into SW metro
Fleet Farm moves into SW metro
Star Tribune
A new Fleet Farm retail store opened in the city of Carver on June 28, the first of what city officials hope to be many businesses along a two-mile commercial strip of land on both sides of Hwy. 212. The complex on 39 acres includes a store, gas station with 27 dispensers and convenience store, and a four-bay car wash.
City leaders said they are thrilled that Mills Properties of Brainerd, Minn., chose Carver for its newest store, and happy about the estimated 100 full-time and 100 part-time jobs it will provide.
The store is on a new frontage road near Hwy. 212 and Jonathan Carver Parkway. The city hopes that additional firms will build in the area once they see the level of customer traffic.
The new Fleet Farm in Carver fills a gap in the southwest metro area for Mills Properties. Until now, its closest store was in Lakeville, about 25 miles away.
The chain operates more than 30 stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota.
