Company plans 126-unit Killdeer complex

KILLDEER — Minneapolis-based Oppidan Investment Co. has announced plans to develop an apartment development in Killdeer to serve the oil-related growth in the city.

The Killdeer Highlands Apartments will sit near 103rd Avenue and Third Street, just northwest of Killdeer’s city center. The seven-acre development includes three 42-unit buildings with one-, two- and three-bedroom plans. Construction is already underway, with completion of the first building planned for July.

Oppidan already has developments in Williston and Watford City, and has a development under construction in New Town.

Developer Jay Moore said in a news release that the company has realized the oil boom is spurring growth outside of main boom towns of Williston, Watford City and Dickinson.

Prairie Property Management is managing leasing for the Killdeer apartments.
